A large town on the eastern side of Korcula island just south of Korcula town. Lumbarda spreads around the coastline concentrated within the bay behind Otok Vrnik.
"Lumbarda (Italian: Lombarda) is a village and a municipality located on the eastern tip of Korčula in Croatia, seven kilometers away from the town of Korčula. A road passing through a picturesque area of pine woods and olive groves connects these two places. Lumbarda is surrounded by sandy vineyards (famous white wine "Grk" produced from the native grape of the same name) and sandy beaches such as Vela Pržina, Bilin Žal and Tatinja. Lumbarda is a tourist centre, many of its 1,200 inhabitants are active in the local tourist service (private accommodation, tourist excursion to islands Mljet and Lastovo and around islands of Korčula archipelago, scuba diving excursions etc.) but they are also wine-growers, fishermen and stone-dressers. Lumbarda has a rich history preserved in written documents dating back to more than 2,000 years ago." Wikipedia

Lumbarda Marina
4.9
We moored up here originally only intending to stay one night while a strong Jugo wind system blew past but it brought rain the next day so we stayed put a second night. The marina staff are helpful and friendly, and the shower facilities very clean inside. Around the marina there are plenty places to eat, one small and a second larger market. The marina beach bar was not yet open for trade in May.
Lumbarda
5.0
Still early into the season but this little town is very pleasant. The Maestral bar/restaurant was welcoming with great views over the bay and marina. We found a small restaurant tucked away near the school with a terrace on the waters edge (Konobo More).
