The stunning town is built on a small peninsula and accessible by foot from the marina a short distance to the south. While here visit the 15th century historic saint Marco cathedral in the centre of the town, or look for remaining parts of the city walls on the east that stood as defences to 16th century attacks from neighbouring civilisations.

Croatia
This city is most famous it's 16th century historic town on the small natural mainland outcrop boasting impressive walls. However the historic town joins the main city which stretches north and south on the mainland and a much larger outcrop to the north. The Dubrovnik marina offers little space for the visiting yachtsman, and most charters are based at Komolac at the base of the nearby river Dubrovacka. If you make your way to Dubrovnik you should make some time for the smart pedestrian street that runs through the centre of the old town which offers churches and palaces including Rector's Palace which is now a museum. Don't miss the drawbridge western entrance to the city or the eastern gate that overlooks the old port.
